Whimsical Indigo Wedding in Castine
Nina and Bryan got married on August 14th, 2021 at a Private Residence in Castine, Maine. Their wedding was the definition of laid-back luxury with flowing floral dresses, natural linen, hand dyed indigo napkins (made by the bride and friends), a live band and an incredible food menu with crafted cocktails by Trillium Catering.
You would never know by these photos (except for the first one below), but a massive thunderstorm roared off the ocean right before the ceremony with high winds and intense rain. This dedicated vendor team and the property caretaker did everything and I mean everything, to get things put back together and dried off before guest arrival. We even tented the ceremony floral with an EZ UP tent with hopes of saving them from the storm. We may have slight PTSD from this for awhile, but it all worked out. It’s important to know how quickly weather can change in New England especially on the coast and why a rain plan, having a tent(s), and having an incredible vendor team is highly recommend for private home weddings.
And just as quick as the storm came, it was gone and we were left with a beautiful Maine Summer evening with an unforgettable sunset.
